You will be picked up at your Panama City hotel lobby for a short walk to the Mercado de Mariscos, a colorful seafood market full of interesting local products and delicious food stands. Every morning, the local fishermen take their catch directly from the sea to sell to the public. The building's location at the end of Balboa Avenue and the Cinta Costera attracts many locals and foreigners interested in buying fresh seafood and the famous ceviche, a delicious traditional dish prepared from raw fish marinated in lime juice, onion and cilantro that you’ll have the chance to sample!

After visiting the market, you will take part in a coffee tasting. Panama has some of the most innovative and exotic coffees in the world. Guided by an expert barista, you will try an array of the best coffees from the Chiriqui Highlands. From fruity and rich-tasting coffee to the world renowned floral and delicate Panama Geisha, your perception of coffee will change forever.

Then you will walk through the cobblestone streets of Casco Antiguo for a chocolate tasting experience that includes a presentation detailing the whole cocoa production process, from the plantations in Bocas del Toro to the delicious chocolate bars and pralines you will sample.

As the tour through Casco Antiguo continues, you will get the opportunity to try one of Panama’s most traditional refreshments: the raspao! It’s the Panamanian version of a snow cone, and the shaved ice is drizzled with sweet syrups ranging from strawberry or grape to passion fruit or lime and topped with condensed milk. Another popular add-on is malteada, a powder containing barley malt, wheat flour, and powdered milk.

You will continue strolling along Casco’s seawall, enjoying the views of the Bridge of the Americas and the Panama City skyline during the late afternoon. You will end the tour with a rum sampling at a bar called Pedro Mandinga, where you will also have the opportunity to try some local appetizers: fried plantains topped with pulled pork, a fresh mango ceviche or a cheese sandwich. After enjoying a farewell cocktail, you will be dropped off at your hotel in the early evening.
